Kim was born and raised in Texas where she first started singing barbershop in the Austin Harmony Chorus. She attended college at the University of North Texas and holds a bachelor’s degree in Vocal Music Education. While in college, Kim sang in many different barbershop ensembles including multiple female quartets, a mixed quartet, and the Rich-tone chorus! She spent two years teaching middle school choir and now teaches private voice lessons for all ages. Kim is a Singing Judge Candidate in the Barbershop Harmony society and serves as a Young Women In Harmony program coordinator for Sweet Adelines International. Kim is now beginning a new adventure in Indianapolis, Indiana! She is the new director of Capital City Chorus and will continue to sing with The Ladies. When Kim isn’t singing with The Ladies… she is probably still singing, directing, or coaching barbershop!
